First Blog
Hi there. This is my first posting on my own blog. I am in the middle of writing an assignment on how blogs could be a good medium for kids writing instead of using pen and paper. I have researched this for some weeks and there is quite a lot written about blogs in education.
My questions are
"Is writing on a blog more interesting and motivating for children rather than conventional methods?"
"Does a blog provide authentic audience and context?"
I have set up a secure blog for the class who are a mixed group of "reluctant" writers and confident writers.
I am wanting to see if the confident writers help the others by providing feedback and suggestions.
Any friends and family reading this, wish me luck as I am not hugely "web" literate and most things take a while!
It's quite late here now as I took ages trying to work out a name. Wellywood was taken so I presume there are other Wellingtonians on this blog site. Anyway I'm off to listen to Ruby Wax

I see I spelled ka kite ano wrongly. Serves me right for being up so late.
I will post a new page each week i hope. We are off to Martinborough to a wine festival so it shoild be great fun.

Well here I am again in January 2006. I am unsure how to add to my page. I wonder if I have to change the entirepage but i would prefer to add pages!!!
Oh well maybe it just keeps adding to the page.
I began my own blogspot last year within Blackboard.Com and have decided to reuse this as my research again this year. I am now wondering if I should go through another blog site or not. Blackboard is safe but it is a mission to get a photo up etc. I will try this site and see how easy it is to add a photo.
By the way the time is way out. I don't know which country it is using!!! It is right on 6pm now.
