Monday 13 February
Ooops. Just typed in the date and realised that tomorrow is Valentines day and I have forgotten all about it. I'll have to get thinking about what I can do.
I have re-read Carol Mutch's book from cover to cover and found a few more bits and pieces on the internet. I found a piece on life history interviews, worked out what grounded theory is and found a great diagram showing the difference between qualitative and quantitative research.
I feel much better about things now.
I didn't get much assignment writing done but my next course on assessment went up on Web CT today so I was able to get my head around dates etc.
I tried to log onto Blackboard again today to see my blog site but it is still unavailable. It has been unavailable since I went back to Wellington on the 24 January. I need the site or at least an archived version of it to show the principals of the schools I hope are going to be my "guineapigs". I have emailed our Help Desk and one of the Deputy Principals to see if they can get it back for me. It is so true that you need to allow about a third of your research time just to set up!!!
My husband has been cutting trees down so has not progressed any further with our version of the blog site either.
I'm hoping to visit principals next week so need something to show them.
Well I'm off for a coffee.
Ka kite ano
